Deirdre is a trauma-informed therapist dedicated to helping people reduce their stress and anxiety using a variety of cutting edge techniques such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS/Parts Work), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Polyvagal Theory, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Nutrition for Mental Wellness.
Deirdre also uses the tried and true traditional techniques including Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Deirdre's goals are always to validate your experiences, help you find value in yourself, expand your coping skill strategies, and help you find the best way for YOU to move through your stressors in life.

It is my job to help you realize your own potential by pointing out your strengths, helping you compartmentalize, giving you coping tools and strategies that you can use right away, and reframing unhelpful thought patterns. The most important thing for you to know is that YOU are the expert on you and I am simply here to support your growth.
EMDR & Somatic Interventions
It is vitally important that you receive the best care possible when you have gone through the stress of trauma. Specialized care is recommended for Post Traumatic Stress and I work hard to ensure that I deliver the best trauma treatment possible. I utilize EMDR and other specialized trauma treatment techniques to help those suffering from PTSD.
Breaking Through Barriers
Awaken to new possibilities with hypnotherapy. I often utilize hypnotherapy when clients are seeking to break through mental blocks or address specific phobias. This is a potent tool that can break down walls and clear your path to success.
This tool is not usually recommended for persons with major trauma histories or a history of dissociation.

And while coaching is not therapy - it can still be very difficult to realize your potential. Guided visualizations, hypnosis, gratitude practices, and practical solutions (like structured list-making) are all things I utilize to help you grow into the powerhouse that you are endeavor to be.
